The highly intelligent breed can be used for many working class type activities such as a courier or even a seeing eye dog. This breed is very owner loyal, it even goes without saying that they can act and seem to be depressed if their owner does not attend to them adequately. Many Boxers can display affection just with a look, or a baby whimper begging for just a slight bit of affection. Some even act more like a lap dog then the smaller breeds, just simply because of their need for human affection. Oddly enough these guys were bred as fighting dogs, and are still unfortunately discovered as fighters for human entertainment. If they are not forcibly treated negligently and confined away from human contact, along with training and affection, they often create a dedicated breed owner.

Choosing the Perfect Name - April 21, 2009

module header right

It is nearly as hard to choose the perfect name for a pet as it is to pick the pet itself. Names can mean so much about the pet, everything from personality to demeanor. Choosing the right name will also help your pet also. Make it a name that is easy and simply understood when spoken. Also chose a name that does not sound like another command that you want to your new puppy to learn. You don’t want them to be confused about what they are hearing or this will cause issues with training. There are numerous books just like baby name books, there are pet name books. If you really want a name that fits the pup well take a few days to decide on the name so you have the chance to interact with the pup for a few days before deciding.

Kasey is the adorable full size Yorkie owned by the Director of Marketing here at Animaroo.com. She celebrated her first birthday over the weekend and had tons of fun with her new toys and presents. The party went well and she enjoyed the day with her cousins Bruce and Max. She had so much fun that a nap that afternoon was an essential part of the day to keep her energy levels at peak performance for play that evening. She loved her gourmet biscuits and new chew toys from mom and dad, and the really loved all the attention from the entire family. As a pet owner many of us know that our pets are just like our children and need to be spoiled sometimes. Why not use their birthday as a reason to spoil them. In our family we have several birthdays in the month of April so we all celebrated them together at one great big party and enjoyed each other company.

What a hard decision the Obama’s had to make between the Labradoodle and the Portuguese Water Dog. So many great traits for both of these breeds make it a hard decision for anyone to make. The Obama’s first photos with their new pet, came out and proved they made a great decision for their family. All the love and excitement for the entire family, and their new arrival shows on everyone’s face that the choice of the Portuguese water Dog is an excellent fit for them. The respectable manor in which they chose their puppy, and introduced him into the mix, was exceptionally executed. Bo is a fortune puppy to have such a wonderful loving family to care for him.
