Choosing the Perfect Name - April 21, 2009

module header right

It is nearly as hard to choose the perfect name for a pet as it is to pick the pet itself. Names can mean so much about the pet, everything from personality to demeanor. Choosing the right name will also help your pet also. Make it a name that is easy and simply understood when spoken. Also chose a name that does not sound like another command that you want to your new puppy to learn. You don’t want them to be confused about what they are hearing or this will cause issues with training. There are numerous books just like baby name books, there are pet name books. If you really want a name that fits the pup well take a few days to decide on the name so you have the chance to interact with the pup for a few days before deciding.

It is time for shaking off those winter blues and Springing forward into Spring. Taking more walks getting out in the fresh air, looking forward to hot summer days and most of all, spending more time outside with our pets. They love to be great walking partners, running enthusiasts and most of all spending time with you. So plan more park outings for Saturday, and longer walks in the evening but make sure you take your dog with you. If your pet is an older dog and has trouble walking to long distances be inventive. You can now get puppy strollers to take them with you and still have a good time. In fact some businesses in addition to the local pet stores, allow you to bring your pet with you as long as they are in a carrier. What better way to take them with you then in a stroller.

Is your little boy or girl trying to tell you something with negative behavior. We all get busy in life and all to often the first one to notice our absence is our pet. When it is time to play and you are not there your little guy will be more than wiling to let you know how upset he or she is with negative actions. Inside accident, eaten shoes, and far worse torn furniture can be the result of the lack of attention. Even if it is just a short walk around the house break the monotony for that little one and show them some attention. It will cost you less in the long run both physically and financially.

A very cute Pug

A very cute Pug

All pugs look sad, simply because they have so many folds on their face. This adorable pug puppy is no exception. The term “puppy dog face” – where a kid (or teenager) pouts to look cute and get what they want – was coined from the look on a pug’s face. This pug has that look down – and is absolutely adorable.
