It’s nice to see the youthfulness a pet can bring out in the older individuals in society today. The pep in their walk as they take their dog for a walk, the small on their face when they see Sparky sitting by the window waiting for them as they come home. To imagine a life without their best friend would be almost intolerable. Dogs have the ability to almost human like with expressions and actions. Some breeds are almost child like with behavior. They like to play with their toys, and have a favorite one to chew on. They have a favorite place to nap and a favorite place to hide their treats. They even pick the same couch cushion to hide the treats in every time. Some elderly people go as far as catering their life around the needs of a pet just to feel connected to something. The miracle behind the connection we feel at any age to a dog is strong and hard to break.
