Red Flags

You always think you know what you want until you see the cutest little puppy, and every thing you thought you wanted goes right out the window. What I mean is never look at the puppies in a kennel first. Look at the kennel. Once you see those adorable puppies all your witts go blank. You dont care what shape the kennel is in as long as you get to keep that puppy.
True story, some one that worked with kennels and knew how to pick a good kennel walked right out and bought a dog without checking things out first, ended up with no dog because it ran away. Only afterwards saying I should have known better the red flags were there but I just wanted that dog so bad. So take your time when looking for a new member to your family. Go early to look around the kennel, smell around the kennel, and look at the adult dogs and their pens they are kept in. Also take the time to get to know the puppy you are purchasing is it's personality right for you.
The dog this person purchased was an older dog and very skidish around people so the first time it got outside it ran away. So don't be in to big of a hurry when purchasing your next family member, take the time to build a bond with the puppy and make sure everything is as it should be in the kennel. The time you take will make a difference in what kind of addition you have in your family.
