Basset Hounds
The Basset Hound will weigh between 40 to 60 pounds as an adult. They tend to be lazy overeaters, though daily walks will help to keep their weight under control. Their short, dense coat sheds heavily. However, frequent brushing will keep the shedding under control. Basset Hound puppies are naturally well behaved, though they can be prone to howling and barking. They are lazy and affectionate, and love children and other animals. Basset Hounds are sometimes crossed with the Golden Retriever to create the Bassatriever.

Basset Hounds For Sale
The Basset Hound is a very short legged breed of hunting dogs. The Basset Hounds, when used for hunting, are used as scent hounds. Most of these are used to hunt rabbits. When you break down the name of the Basset Hound, you actually get a literal translation of, a rather low hound. The main reason why people choose to have Basset Hounds as pets is because of their very friendly nature. They just love people and get along with children really well. The only thing that you have to be careful of is that a Basset Hound can just all of the sudden forget all of it's training when there is not treat or reward present. Also, the Basset Hound has one more bad combo. It has very long ears and short legs. Sometimes they have a problem where their ears actually drag on the ground. This can lead to a deadly ear disease. So that is something that you are going to have to have looked at.
