More About ...

Beagles

The Beagle will weigh 18 to 30 pounds when fully grown. Beagles are an active breed. At least two walks are recommended every day to keep them in shape and prevent behavioral issues. Their medium, smooth coat can be easily groomed with a damp cloth or daily brushing. Beagle puppies are intelligent, lively and mischievous. They are great with children, and can do well with all types of other pets if socialized early. Beagles are sometimes crossed with the Poodle to create the Beagle Poo, or the Boston Terrier to create the Boggle.

Beagles For Sale

The beagle is a breed of dog that looks a lot like the Foxhound, however, it does have shorter legs, and very long and soft ears. This is a member of the hound group, and they have been used for hunting for many years. In fact, beagles are scent hounds. These dogs were developed to pretty much hunt things like rabbits. These dogs have a keen sense of smell, but right now, they are not used for hunting as much as they use to be. People use to only see these dogs as only hunting dogs, but now it is more common to just see them as family dogs. In fact, they are becoming a very popular dog nowadays because of their size and, of course, their very even temper. Since the days that they started to become popular family dogs they have been featured in a lot of literature. In fact, many people know them from the comic strip called the Peanuts. In this comic book, you can see the world's most famous beagle, Snoopy.
