The border terrier is a dog breed that was first made to actually
hunt foxes. These dogs are also very good to have as house pets.
This is because they are very even tempered, and on top of that,
they are very obedient. It does not take much to train border
terriers if you start them off at a very young age. These dogs
are very alert, and they are fearless, which makes some people
want to train them to be guard and watch dogs. However, it can
take a lot of training to get them to be guard dogs, because they
are very affectionate animals. Training them to be a watch dog is
much easier. The good news, for all of you that have other
animals, is that these border terriers can get along with other
animals that they are raised with. Although, if they are not
raised around cats, then a border terrier may have the urge to
chase down cats.
