Although it may sound like a stuffed animal, the Teddy Bear breed
of dogs is real. Actually it is a mixed breed that is a cross
between a Bichon Friese and a Shih Tzu. Combining these two
lovable dogs together, you get the best of both worlds. These
dogs have great qualities, but not everyone knows them as Teddy
Bears. In fact, the official name for these dogs is the Shichon.
However, due to their Teddy Bear like face, they have been given
the nickname the Teddy Bear, and it has stuck to them like glue.
They are very playful dogs and very entertaining to watch. These
dogs do like to be lap dogs, and they like to be as close to you
as possible. So if you do not want a dog that is going to be
right at your heels all the time, the Teddy Bear dog is not for
you. Also, these dogs get very sad when you leave them alone for
too long, thus, getting two of these dogs might be a must.
