The Labradoodle is a crossbred dog, or as some may call a hybrid.
As the name suggests this is a Labrador Retriever mixed with a
standard or miniature Poodle (depending on how big you want the
dog to turn out). Although the Labradoodle is a dog that is still
in development, it has become very popular. This is a dog that
was bred to have the low shed quality of a poodle and the
friendly nature of the Labrador Retriever. Most Labradoodles turn
out the way that they are suppose to. However, from a breeding
standpoint, the Labradoodle is a dog that still has too many
appearance differences and behavioral differences to become an
actually breed. Until these problems are worked out, the
Labradoodle will remain nothing more than a very popular
crossbred dog. Of course, this does not stop people from going
out and getting Labradoodles everyday, and more and more people
are starting to fall in love with them.
