Over time people will learn that these dogs are sweet and are suited well for family life. If you want your family to feel both protected and loved, this is the dog for you. Do not listen to the stereotypes; these dogs are not mean dogs unless they have been mistreated. However, when a dog is mistreated, any breed can become mean. That is a very important fact to keep in mind.
