Australian Kelpies
The Australian Kelpie is a very amazing sheep dog. This is one dog that has proven that they can master the trait needed to drive sheep and protect them. They are only a medium sized dog, but they are very strong. They also come in a lot of different colors. All over the world, these dogs are used to move and keep sheep, cattle and even poultry safe and together. Of course, this is also a dog that tends to love to be with its master. That is one reason why this dog is also a great family dog. Over the years, this dog has pretty much become two different breeds. There is the working Kelpie and the Show Kelpie. The show Australian Kelpies are great in shows and are never selected on their mustering instinct. They are great sport dogs and are pretty much a do anything dog. The work Australian Kelpies are selected not on their appearance, but on their natural work ability. Whenever you see an Australian Kelpie at work, it will blow your mind. These are dogs that have been known to walk on top of the sheep (yes, on the backs of the sheep; they will walk on top of the flock to get to the front and keep an eye on them).
The Australian Kelpies are very loyal dogs, and this can be seen in the Australian Kelpie puppies for sale. As you may have been able to guess, these dogs are very intelligent, and would have to be able to learn how to herd flocks of sheep as part of dog training. They are very friendly, and they also have a lot of energy. This is a dog that is only going to be happy if you have challenging jobs for it to complete. If these dogs are kept busy, then they do not become noisy or frustrated. However, if you do not, they can become destructive. The one thing this dog can not do is become a guard dog. They are good at herding sheep as herding dogs, but they are not good at protecting families. That is because they love people and are not aggressive towards people at all. As most people know, Australian Kelpies nip the backs of the legs of sheep to get them to go where they want them to go. However, sometimes they may do that to a human, and they have to be trained very early that that can not be done.
It is amazing to see an Australian Kelpie for sale working. In fact, they have an abundance of energy and endurance. Some people have claimed to watch Australian Kelpies drive mobs of sheep over 40 miles in very extreme conditions. The amazing thing is that they have never been known to lose a sheep. These dogs love to work without supervision, because they are born with the ability to do this job. As said before, the signature move of the Australian Kelpie (it has been seen in a lot of films, because it is that amazing, and furthermore this is never taught to the dogs; they just know how to do this) is to jump on the backs of sheep in tightly packed areas and walk across the tops of them while they are jammed up. They do this so that they can get to the other side to break up the jam, and see why the sheep are not moving.
