Many people think this is because of how low the Basset is to the ground. The cat does not feel like it is in danger. Others think that it has to do with how slow the Basset is. Whatever the reason, cats do not fear this animal.
Once you buy a Basset Hound for sale or Basset Hound puppies for sale you will realise that they are super friendly, that is just about it. Besides that, you have to keep it with company all the time, and they are hard to train. Most of the time you can teach it a trick, and it will remember it while you have food in your hand but will "forget" it as soon as your food is gone. This just proves how smart this breed of dog really is.
