The Black Russian Terrier is a dog that has been around for a long time. The only problem is that a lot of people have never heard of it, because it is so rare. That is because it is usually never seen outside of its native country of Russia. In fact, the American Kennel Club as a dog organization finally recognized this dog as a breed in July of 2004. This dog had been around for many, many years. However, it took that long for people to accept it. So if you do find the breed in the United States, you need to grab one while you still can. These dogs go fast, because of how rare they are. However, they are great for more than just being rare. This is a great family dog that your family is going to love.
The Black Russian Terrier is a dog that is very confident and very calm. They are also very intelligent (as most terriers are), and they are very brave as well. However, those are not the reason why people love these dogs. The main reason why people get these dogs is because of how loyal they are. This is a dog that you can bet will follow you everywhere, no matter what it is you are doing. This is a dog that would protect you until there was not a bit of life left in it. These dogs can be very social, but can become aggressive if they feel their master is in danger. This is a breed of dog that is not timid at all. They will come right up to you and find out if they like you. They are not afraid of anything. As you can guess, it's for these reasons, why the Black Russian Terriers make such good guard dogs.
The Black Russian Terriers are a pretty healthy breed. They can have some health problems, but nothing that other dog breeds can not get. For example, these dogs do tend to get the hip dysplasia and the elbow dysplasia as dog diseases. This is a problem that happens with most dogs. This has a lot to do with the way the dog has evolved. Over time we may see this problem less and less, but until then, dogs have to learn to live with it. This dogs gets along with everyone in your family. They do great with kids, and they can even learn to get along with other dogs. So you do not have to worry about getting one of these dogs if you have another dog. However, it does seem to work better if they grow up together. This is a dog that you will be proud to have in the family. The only problem that you are going to have is trying to find these dogs. Other than that you are not going to have any problems out of it. Just remember that these dogs do need exercise if they are not put to work. That can help them from getting bored.
