Boxerdoodles
There is a saying that you can mix a poodle with just about anything. Well, after you see the Boxerdoodle, you may find that saying to be true. This is a very different looking breed of dog. This is not a dog that is an official breed, but it is a very well known hybrid. One reason why it is not an official breed, is the fact that all of these dogs look so different. These dogs can have very different coats and still be from the same litter of puppies. For example, you may have some Boxerdoodle puppies that have some curly coats and some wavy fur coats. Others could have long hair, and others can have short dense hair. You just never know what kind of dog you are going to get when you mix these two breeds. Mostly, these dogs are just used for companions. However, there are some people that like to use these dogs as hunting dogs. They are very smart, and that is most likely due to the poodle that they are mixed with.
As you can more than likely guess, the Boxerdoodles are very well built dogs. They get this, as well as their agility, form the boxer in them. These dogs can range anywhere from medium to small size. However, it is much more likely to see these dogs medium. The Boxerdoodles are very loving and loyal pets. As you may already know, these dogs are very playful and usually always happy. For the most part, these dogs do well with children. However, they usually only do good with older children. These are not dogs that like to be climbed on. Although these dogs may seem nice, they are not recommended for houses with other pets in them. These dogs do not do good with sharing their master. Even if it's a cat, bird, fish, or whatever. The Boxerdoodle will bark at that animal for hours everyday. It's also for that same reason why the Boxerdoodle makes such a great watch dog.
If you have bought a Boxerdoodle for sale or Boxerdoodle puppies for sale you will not require to take a lot of care, just about the same amount of care that you would give to another dog. You will have to give it regular brushing, depending on what coat it has. You may also need to take it to a professional when it comes time to cut its hair. These dogs are very willful, and it can be hard to make them do anything that they do not want to do. As with most hybrid dogs, the Boxerdoodle is very prone to dog health problems. Things like epilepsy and skin problems happen a lot more in this dog than in other dogs.
Keep in mind, this is a dog that trains pretty well. However, this dog is not going to respond well to harsh methods. This has to do with the boxer that this dog is mixed with. Training must be done with some firmness, but also with a loving hand. It's for this reason that this is not a dog for first time dog raisers. Keep that in mind before you run out to the store to get one.
