Canaans
Whenever you hear about the Canaan dog, you usually think of the national dog of Israel. In fact, this dog is said to have lived in the Middle East for many years. The Canaan dogs can be pretty big dogs. They can get anywhere from about 19 to 24 inches in height. On top of that, the Canaan dogs can weigh between 40 and 50 pounds. Of course, there are many traits about the Canaan dog that you can see in the Canaan dog puppies as soon as they are born. One of the first traits that you see about this dog is that it is very independent. It can be kept as a pet, but this is a dog that is not going to be as loyal as some of the other dogs out there. It can learn to get along with it's owners, but this is not a dog that is going to be very loving on you. It will from time to time, but mostly the Canaan dog likes to be alone.
Some of the other temperaments of the Canaan dogs that you should know about is that they are very aloof with all people, even their owners. However, they are even more aloof with strangers. This is something that you may have to keep your eyes on. The dog is very cautious of strangers, and as you may have been able to guess, is very territorial. That means that it is best to keep this dog in a fenced in yard. If you allow this dog to run around free, it is very likely to attack other animals. The dog, for the most part will never attack it's owners. Not so much, because it loves you a lot, but it lives by the motto that you should never bite the hand that feeds you.
The good news about the Canaan dog is that it does not suffer from any kind of known hereditary problems for dog diseases. In fact, this is one of the healthiest breeds in the world, and again this can be seen in the Canaan dog puppies along with the puppy weight. There are a few dogs that have been known to have a few problems in the United States, but it is very far and few between. Some of the Canaan dogs can get epilepsy and PRA (progressive retinal atrophy). A few other problems that other dogs get as well have been seen in Canaan dogs, like hip dysplasia (one of the most common problems with all dogs) and cryptorchidism.
Overall, if you want to buy a Canaan dog for sale or Canaan dog puppies for sale they would make a great pet for someone who wants a more independent dog. One that does not have to be so clingy all the time. One of the best things about this dog is that they are not as likely as other dogs to rip things up when you are gone. That is because they tend to not miss their masters as much as some other dogs do. Most dogs tear things up, because they get sad when we leave them alone. Having an independent dog does have it's up sides, as you can see.
