Cresty Poos

It takes a brave soul to mix a Chinese Crested with a poodle. You might come up with a poodle with no hair or a Chinese Crested with curls. In reality, the Cresty Poo can make a beautiful dog and a great pet.

Chinese Crested comes two different ways. One type has no coat and only has hair on the ears, tail, and feet. The other type is often referred to as a powder puff because of the thick puffy coat they possess. The most common and most recognized type is the hairless variety.

The Chinese Crested has skin that feels like human skin. Their skin is soft and usually a mottled gray. They have puffs of fur on their tail and paws. The fur is usually a cream color and looks very elegant.

The poodle, like the Chinese Crested is usually a small dog that is considered to be in the toy breed. Some poodles are larger such as the standard breed but these are not as popular. Poodles have been company to the rich and famous for years because they tend to be delicate and useless other than for companionship.

The poodle coat is usually thick and curly. It requires cutting and grooming on a regular basis. In between grooming sessions they require frequent brushing to keep their coat from tangling.

Both the poodle and the Chinese Crested make great pets and both are devoted and loyal to their master. Combining these two breeds will take a little courage but the end result will be a hybrid breed that is small in stature and delicate boned. The Cresty Poo is best suited to staying inside because they do not adapt well to cooler temperatures.

Cresty Poo puppies may be born without hair but they may grow hair as they mature. If they are born hairless like the Chinese Crested they may tend to have curly puffs of hair on their tails and feet. If you breed a poodle with they type of Chinese Crested that has hair you can expect a small dog with a beautiful coat of hair.

Because both the poodle and the Chinese Crested are considered to be non-shedders, the Cresty Poo puppies will also be born with fur that does not shed. Both varieties are non-allergenic and the Cresty Poo will also be non-allergenic. They make great house pets for older adults but they are less likely to get along well with small children. They enjoy lounging around all day and prefer to be in the lap of their master. Small children tend to get on their nerves and make them cranky and nervous.

If you have purchased Cresty Poo puppies for sale or Cresty Poo for sale then you need to see to it they get enough exercise as they prefer to be indoor dogs. If left up to them they would never get off the couch but it is important to their health that you make them get some exercise on a regular basis. Taking them for a walk will be good for their health as well as yours.
