The Fila Brasileiro dog is a very large working dog breed that was developed in Brazil. When you see the Fila Brasileiro puppies you will notice right away that they are a Molosser breed that has very large bones and loose skin. To be officially called a Fila Brasileiro, you have to be at least 27 - 3- inches high and have a weight of about 110 pounds. These dogs have been used for years as estate guardian dogs. They have also been known to make great cattle dogs as well. This dog is well known for being faithful to it's family, but it is very aggressive towards strangers, and it does not hide it. This is a law that was passed in 1991 called the Dangerous Dogs Act. Many people do not understand how aggressive this dog can be. It's also very amazing how quickly this dog can turn mean. When it's with its family, it would not hurt a fly, but as soon as someone it does not know comes around, it goes into kill mode. This is something that was seen one too many times in the United Kingdom, and that is why that dog has been banned from there.
