German Collies

If there is one thing that the German Coolie is known for, it's its big rabbit like ears. This is a pretty big dog that was bred in Australia the first time. This is a dog that was meant to be a herding dog, and it does that job just fine. When you first see German Coolies, you will notice that their ears are very big. These ears are as long as what you would find on a hound dog (like a basset, they hang down almost to its feet), but their ears stick straight up in the air, they do not hang down. Thus, this is one dog that you can see coming for a long ways away. With that aside, a lot of people love the German Coolie. This is a dog that a lot of people find to be very intelligent and pretty easy to get along with. They do have a very strong herding instinct. So if you have kids, and this dog does not get to herd sheep, it will herd your kids. This means, when they are playing in the back yard, the dog will keep them together, usually in the center of the yard. If they move, the dog nips at their heels. However, this is something that they can be trained not to do.

If you have bought German Coolies for sale or German Coolie puppies for sale they will be very responsive to any commands that you give them. The funny thing is, these dogs (whether they are male or female) respond to females better than males. Some people think that it's because of the higher pitch in the woman's voice, it grabs the dogs attention better. Either way, this dog is going to be a dog that you want to own. That is because of how well it does listen you. Of course, if you and your wife are telling the dog to do two different things, the dog is way more likely to listen to the female than you. The German Coolies are very fun loving dogs. They are very friendly natured and easy going. Thus, they do not make good watch dogs. Even the German Coolie puppies are very fun loving dogs. These are dogs that you can take to the store and everyone can walk up and pet the dog, and the dog is going to love. The only problem with this dog is that it gets very discouraged if it does not get to mate with something. Many people say that this dog is willing to mate with just about anything, but the reason to why is not yet know. People think that the dog can sense that it's a rare breed, and it has this dying need to mate with other dogs.

If you do not like taking your dog to the vet, then the German Coolie is for you. This is a dog that has very little dog health problems. They do have some hearing and sight problems as they get older. Since they do not have any problems, these dogs can live a long time. Most of them live to be about 15 years of age. However, it is not unheard of for these dogs to live up to (and past) the age of 18.
