People are always looking to crossbreed dogs, and this is the case for the Jug. In case you did not already know, Jugs are not purebred dogs. They are a cross between a Pug and a Jack Russell Terrier. In fact, sometimes these dogs are called a Jack Pug, but the name has now been shorten to Jug. Although this is not a purebred dog, they have become very popular around the world, and more and more people are starting to own these dogs in America. So if you want a dog that can give off a lot of love in just a small body, then you want a Jug. There are a few things that you have to watch out for whenever you are buying a cross bred dog.

To have a true cross bred dog, you have to mix a purebred with a purebred. However, a lot of Jug breeds do not do that. A lot of times they will mix a mutt with a Pug or Jack Russell terrier, and the outcome is usually not what you would want in your dog. The only way to breed a Jug is to have a Pug and Jack Russell mate, or to have two Jugs mate. Either way, you are going to come out to the same outcome. Just remember, the more that Jugs mate with each other, the more you are going to be able to start classifying them as an actual breed.

Before you buy a Jug for sale or Jug puppies for sale you need to know there is no way of being able to determine the temperament of any kind of mixed dog. This goes double for the Jug. Even the Jug puppies are hard to predict. The best thing that you can do is to look at the temperament of the Pug and the temperament of the Jack Russell Terrier, and note that it's going to be somewhere in between there. All these dogs are going to be a bit different. That is because some are going to get more traits from the Jack Russell Terrier, and others are going to get more traits from the Pug. Although, one thing that you can note is that most dogs that are crossbred with a pug, tend to have more of the facial features of the Pug and more of the body type of the Terrier.

The main thing that you should take away from all of this is the fact that a Jug is a dog that makes a good pet. That is because the Pug and the Terrier both makes good pets. When you get these kinds of dogs together, you are going to notice that you get a type of dog that is very in love with people. Although it is not known why these kinds of traits are passed along in dogs, but they are. A Jug is a dog that is going to stick by your side, no matter what. Although they are very small dogs, they do have a pretty big heart. For the most part, they are good with kids, as long as the kids are playing nice with them. All dogs love to play, so when you can play with your dogs, they are going to love it.
