Laekenoises
The Laekenois is a breed of dog that is sometimes classified as a Belgian Shepherd dog. However, this is actually a separate breed of dog. This is a dog that is not quite fully recognized by the United States. However, other places such as Britain have totally accepted this dog. Since it has such a close tie to the Belgian Sheepdog, it's hard for some people to fully accept this dog. However, if you do, you will find that tis is a very sweet working dog. Just like other working dogs, they normally form a very close bond to their masters. Not only that, but they sometimes become very protective of their family. This does not just include people. This goes for other dogs and animals as well. This is a dog that likes to think of all the animals in the house as its pack. Thus, if it feels like one of its pack members are in danger, it will run in to help.
There are a lot of stories that people tell about Laekenois. These dogs seem to bond fairly well with cats in the family. This is because they view the cats as the weak ones in it pack, thus, it feels it has to protect them. Most people find this cute until it comes time to give the cat a bath or something that the cat does not like. This normally sends the Laekenois into a crazy rage. However, normally it just leads to a lot of crying and dog barking until it's over. This is because the Laekenois does not know what to do. It will not attack you, because you are the master, but it wants to help the cat. So the only thing that it can do is bark. However, it's hard to stay mad at this breed for too long. After all, it has been around for a long time. In fact, it's one of the rarest breeds of Belgian Shepherd dogs left.
If you have bought a Laekenois for sale or Laekenois puppies for sale you will find they have a very smooth coat when they come out. However, over time the coat seems to roughen up a bit. Just like any breed of dog, they are well known to get certain dog health problems. Although their health problems are not as bad as other dogs, they can still cause problems. For example, this is a dog that tends to have problems with its hips. This can make it bad for the dog to walk and move around. Over time this causes the dog to gain weight, because it does not want to do anything. They also tend to have a lot of problems with their eyes. Usually before they die, they will go blind. This is something that has been seen in most of these dogs. It can be harder for this dog to deal with going blind than for other dogs. For some reason, when they go blind, it's as if they forget their way around the house. You will find them all the time bumping into random things. So take good care of your dog as it gets older. It is going to have a hard life ahead of it.
