This is a dog that is going to blow you away with its personality and overall charm. This dog loves to be part of your life and will do anything to stay part of your life. They are very eager to please you, but do not get these dogs wrong, they have a mind of their own. The Maltishons are a very independent breed. They want to be around you, but around you doing their own thing. However, this is what adds to the charm of the dog. You can just sit there and watch this dog for hours and see what it is doing. However, when the person comes in the room, this dog will run and hide. It is very funny to watch this, because the dog will act all big and bad until the person comes into the room. Then they will run away. So this dog makes a great watch dog, but not a very good guard dog. They do get along with kids a lot as well. However, they do not look at kids as masters. They look at the kids like playmates. So from time to time the kids could have a hard time figuring out how to get the dog to listen to them. As they get bigger and grow up, the dog may start to learn to listen, but that is the only way that they will ever listen to the kids. They just want to play with the kids; that is all.

That way you can search for the closest breeder of Maltishons in your area. Keep in mind that you may have to drive a while out of your way to get one of these dogs. They are not very popular yet, and, thus, there are not that many breeders out there for these dogs yet. Either way you look at it, these dogs are well worth looking for. They are fun and interesting to be around. They are going to learn from you, and you are going to learn from them.
