Maremma Sheepdogs

The Italian Maremma Sheepdog is a livestock guardian dog. It is not really made to move the livestock, but just to keep an eye on them. It's a very large dog and is able to fight off things like wolves. This may be a very large dog, but it still is a great companion dog, however, you are going to need a lot of room for this dog to run around in. This dog can be gentle when it needs to be and fierce when it has to be. This dog has been known to be so gentle that it can pick up baby lambs with its teeth and not even leave a mark. This is something that the Maremma Sheepdog only does if the lamb wonders too far away from the flock of sheep. As you may have already guessed, in order to do this, this dog has to be pretty smart, and it is. This is a dog that just loves to be with family.

Although this dog is friendly with its owners, this is a dog that is not very friendly with strangers. This has to do with the fact that it's a guardian dog. The only people that should approach the dog when it's working is the owners. If it's anyone else, the dog may view them as a threat. These dogs love to be with people, but due to their massive size, they are not fit for any kind of urban area. If you are going to own one of these dogs, you need to be far out in the country where the dog can run around and be happy. These dogs grow really fast. In fact, they grow so fast that even some Maremma Sheepdog puppies are placed to watch over sheep. As soon as they are 7 weeks old, they can be trained to look after sheep. Later on, when they get bigger, they can be trained to look after things that are bigger, like cows and so on. As time goes on, the Maremma sheepdog for sale and even the Maremma Sheepdog puppies for sale are bought and used to protect cattle.

This is one large dog that does not have a lot of dog health issues. This is amazing since most large dogs have a ton of health issues. Despite the fact that they are healthy dogs, they still do not live very long. In fact, it's uncommon to see one live past the age of 11 or 12. When they reach the age of 10, most of them start slowing down a lot. They become more yard dogs than field dogs. In their later years, they like nothing more than to be able to sit with their masters and relax the day away. They always feel better when their masters are close by. These dogs also tend to have eye problems when they grow up. The problems can be fixed, but it costs a lot of money.

If you want a very sweet dog, and one that can handle work as well, then you need the Maremma sheepdog. This is a dog that gets its kicks from being by your side. There is no dog that is going to do a better job watching over you and doing what you need it to do than this dog.
