If you are looking for a designer dog that is not a mixed breed, then you want a Morkie. This is a very small dog that is a combination of a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier. These dogs are very cute and are great companions to have in your house. They tend to get along with pretty much anyone. They even get along great with kids and other animals, like cats. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is a very small dog and is usually smaller than a cat. Thus, you have to train your cat not to attack the small dog. A lot of times cats tend to "play" with these dogs much like they would play with a mouse. Most of the time you will find a Morkie that is brown, but other ones are out there. These dogs are easy to get along with, and for the most part, easy to train.

If you have a cat, sometimes your dog will just go missing for days until you find it later, dead. Like a lot of small dogs, these dogs tend to bark a lot. They do not seem to notice how small they are, because if they are not happy, they will pick a fight with just about anyone. These dogs are easy to train, but they are very head strong and feel like they do not have to listen to you all the time. In this way, they are much like a cat. They will take a message when you are calling them and get back to you later. Over time, however, this is a habit that can be easily broken.

These dogs tend to eat a lot for their size. When you see a Morkie, it will not appear that they can eat that much. However, they can put down some food, and you have to watch them, so they do not over eat. These are small dogs that people tend to like to carry with them. However, when they get in big places with tons of people, they tend to get scared and seem to notice how small they are. If you take them to a new place, they are going to want you to hold them until they feel better. If you are at a store, they more than likely will not be ready to walk around until after it's time to leave. This is just the kind of dogs they are. They are tough on the outside, but once you get right down to it, they are big chickens.

Since Morkies are so small you can keep them in small houses. They tend to like to sleep with you at night, but be careful you do not roll over on them. They love to lick your face, and that is how they prefer to wake you up in the morning. They are a big time kissing dog.
