There are some crossbreeds that leave you asking, what were they thinking? However, that is not the case with the Puggle. This is actually a crossbreed that works, and the outcome is very cute. The two different breeds that have been put together is a pug and a beagle. Although the Puggle breed tends to vary, most of them are about 15 to 30 pounds. They also are usually anywhere from 13 to about 15 inches high at the shoulders .Most of the Puggles have a mixed color to them, but they do vary. Sometimes you can get some that are completely black, but it does not happen very often. One good thing about this breed is that they do not have the pushed in faces. Pugs are known for their pushed in faces. Although the skin around the face is a lot loser than what a beagle's would be, their faces are not pushed in (mostly due to the fact that beagles do not have a pushed in face). Thus, you are going to reduce all the respiratory problems that pugs are known for having because of their pushed in faces.
Most of the Puggles are going to carry more of the Beagle's traits than the Pugs traits. People think this is because the Beagle's traits are more overpowering. Of course, this is still left up to reason, because you never know what attributes are going to be inherited from which parent. Thus, most of the Puggles for sale and Puggle puppies for sale are going to look different. You can usually tell what it is going to look like when it is a puppy. That is because Puggle puppies tend to show off their traits very early in life. One cute thing about the Puggle is that they tend to have a long tail like a beagle, but it curls like that of a pug. Since pugs usually have very short tails, it's funny to see a long tail curl like this.
Puggles are very playful at heart. They also tend to be called the designer dog. Although they do have a very high level of energy, they are also very much into being loving dogs. In fact, they are classified as lap dogs, because of how small they are and how much love they like to give. They are very into trying to kiss you. Their manner is mild, but still playful, which makes them perfect for small houses. This is a quality that is seen in a lot of pugs. Of course, they do tend to be a little bit more playful than a normal pug, and this comes from the hunting nature of the beagle. These dogs are very playful, but they tend to tire out very quickly and are ready for a short nap. That is another trait of the pug. One trait that is not pug like at all is their ears. The ears of Puggles are that of a beagle, no doubt about it.
Overall, the best quality of a Puggle is their friendly personality. This is a dog that is known for their ability to get along great with children. People think this is related to the beagle, because they are known for wanting to go everywhere with their "kids."
