Redbone Coonhounds
In case you did not know by the name the Redbone Coonhound, it was bred to hunt raccoon. However, as you may have also guessed, this dog has been widely used for other types of hunting as well. For example, some of these Redbone Coonchounds are good enough to go after some animals like bears and even bobcats. Some of them have been known to hunt cougars as well. This is because of their agility, which allows them to get around mountains and swamplands very quickly. Whenever you are hunting with this dog, you may find it hard to keep up with it. However, you will never lose track of where this dog is, because it lets out a big howl so that you know where it is at all times.
Just like most hounds the Redbone Coonhound is a great family pet and is a great companion for someone that is living alone. If you live in a cabin in the words, this dog is going to feel right at home all the time. This is a dog that loves to be with it's owners and family members all the time. This is a trait that you will see if you buy Redbone Coonhound puppies for sale or Redbone Coonhound for sale as well. This is one of their traits that they do not grow out of. Even if you do not take this dog out hunting, it is just as happy to be next to you all the time. If you wanted to sit around all day and do nothing, this dog would sit there with you and never become bored. In fact, sometimes they like to watch people do things. They become very interested in whatever we are doing and are known for sitting there for hours (awake) just watching whatever there masters are doing.
One of there best things about this dog is also it's down fall, and that is how affectionate this dog is. It can be overwhelming sometimes and can get to be overwhelming very fast to a small child. This could be, because this dog seems to mature very slowly. More so than other dog breeds. Either way you look at it, this dog is very independent and is intelligent after it grows up. Of course, this is a dog that wants to sleep in your bed, so be forewarned. If you let it, this dog will sleep by your head and just keep kiss you randomly all night long. To many people, this can become very hard to deal with. Although this dog does take a while to train, it is very important that you do not lose your cool with the dog. If you do, it tends to become very sad very quickly. It can be hard to get the Redbone Coonhound out of its sad state. The reason why they become so sad is the fact that they want to please you all the time. If you are mad at it, it wants to know what it did. Since it takes so long to learn a lot of times, it will not know what it did to make you mad and will sit there, and think about it for hours.
