Samoyeds
If you did not know, the Samoyed is a dog that gets its name from the Samoyedic people that are located in Siberia. Something that you may already be able to guess is the fact that these dogs have a very thick fur coat. This is because they live in an area that gets to be so cold. These dogs were made to be a herding breed, but they also like to pull sleds lik sled dogs. This is a very dog that loves to make people happy. This dog is sometimes called the smiling dog, because whenever you talk to it, it always appears to be smiling at you; the funny thing is, when you are not talking to it, it does not appear to smile. Although this is a very big dog, they are also known for liking to keep their owners warm at night. These dogs know that they have a big coat that keeps them warm and we do not. So, even without dog training, these dogs tend to sleep in top of their owners at night to keep them warm. They will do anything to make sure that their masters are happy.
While buying a Samoyed for sale or Samoyed puppies for sale, keep in mind that this is a working breed, so even the Samoyed puppies have a strong desire to go out and run around. Without exercise this dog tends to get bored and depressed. This leads it to being irritable and destructive, which are two traits that are way off base with the way this dog normally acts. Also, keep in mind that this is a pretty hardy dog, and they do not get sick very often. However, being such a big dog, they do have their fair share of health problems as well. They tend to suffer from heart problems as they get older, as many big dogs do. It's important to keep an eye on them as they get older, because they never seem to lose their playful edge, and they tend to forget how old they really are.
The Samoyed is a very friendly dog and finding one that is aggressive is very, very rare. Most of these dogs you can walk right up to (off the street), and this dog will want to be your best friend. They make great companions, but make especially good companions for small children than any other dog. They are very playful all the way up to their old years, and they love to go out exploring with kids. These dogs are not known to ever bite children, even when being played with roughly. These dogs know that children are small and can be hurt easily, and it's amazing to watch this big dog play so gentle with the little ones. Some great stories of this dog with small children have been told. Even ones where the children would be out exploring, and get hurt and the dog would carry the kid back home. That is why a lot of families will not send their kids outside without the dog with them, and the dog would not have it any other way.
