The Shiloh Shepherd is a pretty rare breed of dog. A lot of people have never seen one. However, you may have seen one and just didn't know it. That is because this is a dog that looks like a German Shepherd. The main thing that is different between the Shiloh Shepards and the German Shepherds is that they are much larger and have a straighter back. Also, a lot of people say that the Shiloh Shepard is a much smarter dog as well. Like other Shepards, Shiloh Shepards can be found in many different colors. The most common thing that you see Shiloh Shepards doing is being show dogs. That is because they are some of the best in show. They have a drive to be the best that other dogs lack. Not only that, they are so easy to train and show, that a child could show one of these dogs and get first place. Although, a lot of people think of that as a joke, but it is not. In fact, a child did show a Shiloh Shepard one time and did get first place. The dog just knows what to do and will listen to anyone in the family. These dogs have amazing loyal and outgoing personalities. The dog was made to be very gentle and, of course, very loving. These are dogs that can work with other animals and even kids. In fact, these dogs are well known for being very attracted to kids in the family. You will hardly ever see one of these dogs away from its kids (or females in the family). If it's a female child, then the dog is much more likely to sleep in that room and protect her. This goes for both the female and male Shiloh Shepards.

The Shiloh Shepard is not an aggressive dog at all. In fact, when you are showing these kinds of dogs, any kind of signs of aggression or shyness is severely penalized. That is because it is so unlike that breed to act that way. The only time this dog would ever attack is if it thought that someone in its family was in trouble. This, of course, goes double for any females (mostly the younger females) of the household.

These are such sweet dogs that we do not like to think about dog health problems. However, like most very large dogs, they have a fair amount of problems. Since they are so big, these dogs are known to have a lot of skeletal disorders. This dog also sometimes has a problem with gas and bloating, because they are unable to release the gas. All these disorders can be life threating and should be told to a vet right away. This is one dog that you will never want to live without. After you get one, you will grow very attached to it, as well as the rest of your family. This is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever own.
