Tibetan Spaniels
One of the smartest breeds out there is the Tibetan Spaniel. This is a very assertive, small breed of dog that was developed in the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet (hence the name). These dogs are not true spaniels at all, because these dogs are bred for totally different roles. The truth of the matter is, the Spaniels are bred to be gun dogs, but the Tibetan Spaniel is not a gun dog by any means. The dog is cute, however, and that is something that you can see in the Tibetan Spaniel puppies. Tibetan Spaniels are very happy dogs. They are very intelligent, and they can sometimes act very aloof around strangers. The Tibetan Spaniels make great house pets. This has to do with the fact that they are so small. They are inside dogs, and not really outside dogs at all. They do great with all family members, and that includes small children. In fact, some of the Tibetan Spaniels have a close bond with the kids, because they are smaller and easier for the dog to view fully. These dogs love when you pay attention to them, and they love anything that has to do with their owners. That being said, they are still a very willful dog and sometimes like to be independent. Usually this happens more when they are outside. Because they are so small, a lot of times even being in the backyard is like a journey for them, and it's one they feel they must take by themselves.
Like a lot of other small dogs, the Tibetan Spaniels like sitting up in high places, much like a cat would, so they can see what is going on around them. The great thing about these dogs is that they do not bark a lot like a lot of other small dogs. On that same note, however, they are not very fond of strangers and will sometimes bark at them. The bad news about this dog is that it does have a lot of dog health problems you are going to have to deal with. One of the main problems these dogs have is called weeping eyes. This is where their eyes are always tearing. This can be caused by a number of things. However, over time this can irritate the eyes and cause strain on the dog.
This is a great dog to have if you want a very loving family dog. People and dogs have a very close bond, and it is one that is not going to go away. We love to be with our dogs, and dogs love to be with us. It's a great relationship we have with them. The Tibetan Spaniel is great dog for a person who may live in a small house. Keeping an eye on the health of these dogs is very important and can be a full time job in itself. However, the love you get back from these grand dogs is more than enough to make up for it.
