Vizslas
One of the better hunting dogs is the Vizsla. This is a dog breed that got started in Hungary. Although these dogs are best known as hunting dogs, it's important to note that Vizslas make great family dogs as well. The first time the Vizsla was recorded in history was around the 13th
century. At this point in time Vizslas were noble dogs. The coat of Vizsla puppies have a very rusty look to them. However, when the dog first started coming around, it had a yellow coat to it, which is now extinct. Exactly what the dog was bred with to cause the yellow color to fad out is a mystery.
Whenever you see Vizsla puppies or any kind of Vizsla dog, you will see that it is a gentle dog. However, this does not mean that it does not have a high level of energy. On top of being a high energy dog, it is very affectionate and is going to want to show you lots of love. The main reason why these dogs make great pets is because it forms a very close bond to it's owners. However, it bonds mostly to children and will tend to follow them around. This has a lot to do with the fact that the kids have a high energy level as well. Thus, the dogs like to see what the kids are going to be doing so that it can do it too. If you are looking for a quiet dog, this is the one for you. They do not bark unless it is necessary. Most of the time they kind of act like a watch dog. If they feel like one of their owners or a kid is in danger, they will start barking. It is still unclear how the dog knows that someone is in danger, but they know. It's amazing to see this in action!
Now, whenever you think of Vizslas, you know that they are great pointers, because they are hunting dogs. This is what they are trained to do. However, they are not only good pointers, but they are amazing retrievers. They can and will retrieve anything, both on land and in water. The point of telling you this is to let you know that Vizslas are great swimmers, and they love to swim. So if you have a pool, do not be shocked to see your Vizsla out swimming around in it from time to time. If the kids are in the pool swimming, then the dog will get in there too. It loves to jump in just like the kids do. This brings us to the next point, Vizslas need a lot of exercise to be happy. If they do not get their exercise, they tend to get depressed. So it's important to keep them moving.
The last thing to note before you buy a Vizsla for sale or Vizsla puppies for sale is that they love to be outside and it is a hunting dog, these dogs lack the things they need to be an outside dog. They must be kept indoors. They do not have an undercoat like most dogs and can freeze to death if left outside.
