However, adult Xoloitzcuintlis are known for their calm demeanor. In fact, some people have said that they can be lazy. If you have never worked with dogs before, then the puppies can be more than a handful. Not only that, but the overall personality of this dog also tends to be kind of primitive. For the most part, if you can teach the dog to be nice to new people and keep them in your yard, then this is a great dog to own. Some say that they are lazy, but it really depends on the owner of the dog. This is a dog that will get up and play, but they only like to play with people, meaning that you have to actually get up and go out there with the dog. For some people, who work a lot, this is a bad thing.
