Dog Beds

While learning about dog beds can seem a trivial task, it is anything but.  Your best friend deserves the best, after all, so it is absolutely vital that his or her dog bed is selected with care.

As with many other things for your dog, there is an immense variety and selection when it comes to dog beds.  Of course, there are the requisite large dog beds and small dog beds, and that choice is obvious.  If you have a Chihuahua, you'll probably choose small dog beds, and if you have a Golden Retriever you'll probably select large dog beds.

When you go shopping for dog beds, you will notice the large variety of colors, materials, and softness.  Many owners find it best to purchase a variety of dog beds, so their dog can choose the dog bed they prefer.  Also, a lot of dogs like to have beds in different rooms of the house, so they can be where it is warmest, farthest from the cat, or closest to you.

Your dog might want a large, fluffy dog bed for the living room, and a flat, colorful dog bed for the bedroom.

Some dogs prefer to sleep in dog crates, so you will need to find a dog bed that is essentially a large, thickly stuffed blanket.  This way a dog can Åcustomize its bed to its content, and it can also be folded into whatever space is available, be it the inside of a dog crate, conveniently behind furniture, or in the back seat of your car (great for protecting your upholstery from  inevitable shedding).  Many dogs prefer this type of dog bed anyway.  Other dogs prefer a dog bed they can climb into and snuggle into a warm ball, the kind of dog bed that has sides to help keep them warm.  You'll need to find a good spot to put this kind of dog bed, where it can fit nicely and where your dog can easily access it.

Explore the different options for dog beds, and select the dog bed that is best for your best friend!
