Dog Diseases
It will come as no shock to you that there are a lot of different dog diseases out there. The symptoms of dog disease will, of course, vary depending on the type of disease you are dealing with. Just like humans, dogs can have different problems with there eyes, muscles, brain, and all the same body parts that humans can have problems with. These different diseases can cause dog health problems that could be fatal to your dog. Now we are going to talk about some of the different types of dog disease and how they affect your dog. However, there are too many to talk about all the different types of disease, so we will cover a few from different categories prevalent in many dog types.
First of all, one of the most well known dog diseases is Rabies. This is, of course, a fatal viral disease that can affect any kind of mammal. So, of course, this puts dogs at risk. The reason why we worry about dogs with Rabies the most is because dogs live in very close with humans. Other dog health conditions like Canine Parvovirus can also be fatal. This is a gastrointestinal infection that is mainly found in puppies. This is a disease that can be found worldwide, and that is why it's such a big problem.
Dogs can also get fungal diseases as well. In fact, Blastomycosis just so happens to be one of those types of diseases. Symptoms of dog disease are never very pretty. However, this fungal disease can, of course, affect the brain, lungs, bones, eyes, skin, and just about any other body part, making it very hard to get rid of. Dog diseases like Histoplasmosis are also fungal diseases that once again can affect dogs and humans. This is one that affects the lungs, as well as the small intestine.
Some dog diseases, like Ear mites, are microscopic. These are little animals that live inside the dog's ears. They can cause the dog's ears to become inflamed or itchy. Of course, the ears are not the only things that dogs have to worry about. Dogs can also have a lot of problems with their eyes. One of the main things that they have to worry about is, of course, Cataracts. Do not let the name full you. Cats are not the only ones that can get this disease. If you have never heard of Cataracts, this is a disease that puts a fog over the lens of the eye. As the problem gets worse, it gets harder for the dog to see. As it reaches the final stages you will notice that the dog will have fogged over eyes, and the dog will no longer be able to see. It will just be able to tell the difference between light and dark. You can only have this removed surgically.
As you can see, dogs have to worry about disease just like we do. In the end, this is something that is hard for dogs to deal with. In fact, it could be harder for the dog than it is for us. When we have a disease, we are able to tell people what are problems are. However, a dog is not able to do that. They have to rely on us to find out what is wrong with them so we can help them.
