Afghan Hounds
The Afghan Hound will weigh 50 to 60 pounds when full grown. This breed is active and energetic, and enjoys regular walks and even daily runs. Their long, thick, silky coat requires weekly baths and grooming with specialized tools to keep them looking their best. Afghan Hound puppies can do well with other pets, especially if socialized early, but are not recommended for families with young children. They should, however, do well with older children who are able to understand the need for gentle firmness.

The Afghan Hound is a dog that is part of the sight hound breed. This dog can be spotted from a long ways off due to it's very thick and fine coat of fur.
