The beagle is a breed of dog that looks a lot like the Foxhound, however, it does have shorter legs, and very long and soft ears. This is a member of the hound group, and they have been used for hunting for many years. In fact, beagles are scent hounds. These dogs were developed to pretty much hunt things like rabbits. These dogs have a keen sense of smell, but right now, they are not used for hunting as much as they use to be.
