Cool Bloodhound Fact: |
Most people, especially those involved in the animal kingdom, believe that the Bloodhound originated from Belgium and the monks of St. Hubert’s Monastery were the first to breed the animal around 1000AD. There is no doubt that the ancestors of the bloodhound came from France which is home to many modern hound breeds. |

Bloodhounds For Sale
There are some breeds of dogs that can just blow you away with their talent, and the bloodhound just so happens to be one of those breeds. Bloodhounds, also known as St. Hubert hounds are a very large breed of dogs. They first were bred for the purpose of tracking down humans. Most of the time, nowadays, when you see these kinds of dogs working, they are being used to track down escaped prisoners or possibly a missing person. As you can guess by now, they are a scent hound and can follow scents even if the scent is hours old. Once you get bloodhounds on a scent, you can forget about going home empty handed. These dogs are full of energy when you get them on the hunt. The only slight problem that you may have out of a bloodhound is that they can be pretty difficult to obedience train. Getting them at a young age is a must.
