The border collie is a breed of dog that first came about to be a
herding dog. They first got their start in England and Scotland.
A lot of people claim that border collies are very intelligent
dogs, and some even say that they are the smartest of all breeds,
even ranking them above the very smart poodle. On that same note,
border collies are also one of the most energetic dogs that you
can have. If you are going to get one of these kinds of dogs,
then you better be willing to take it outside and play with it.
If they do not get to go outside and play, then tend to get
neurotic or even can become destructive. Although these dogs are
very likely to be seen as family dogs, they are still used on
farms very often. They are one of the best breeds in the world at
handling livestock. They are amazing sports dogs as well.
