The boxer is a very stocky, medium sized dog breed. It is fun to note that this is a dog that was developed in Germany. They do have very short hair, and thus, they do not do great in very cold weather. However, they are very strong willed dogs and can stand up to almost anything. Boxers are sometimes said to be very mean and hateful. However, for anyone that has ever owned a boxer knows that this is not the case at all. In fact, most boxers are very playful and energetic. Most even say that their boxers are very good with children. The only time that a boxer becomes mean is when they are treated harshly for a very long time. They do like to be active, so they do require that you go outside and get some exercise with them. This helps to prevent the dog from getting too bored. If they do get bored sitting around the house, they tend to chew up things. It can be hard to break them of this habit.
