Many think that the Canaan Dogs could live out in the wild by themselves, but they do like people. The Canaan Dog is quick to react when they meet strangers, so be aware of that. Also, these dogs are great watchdogs and they are very smart. They can learn very quickly and are very able to take commands. However, some people tend to think that Canaan Dogs do not learn commands, because they do not always listen to you. Studies have shown otherwise. They have shown that a Canaan Dog will listen to your commands and do them until it finds something that it is more interested in.
