The coat on a cavaton can either be fluffy with curl like the coton coat or more soft, straight or wavy like the Cavalier Coat. Cavatons shed much less than the Cavalier . There are a wide variety of colors available. Cavaton’s are gentle, loyal, very affectionate, and friendly dogs that grow very attached to family members. They are sensitive to the emotions of their family. They are playful and intelligent. A Cavaton is a very sociable dog and gets along easily with children, other animals, though can sometimes be shy or cautious with strangers they are usually affectionate to everyone.
