Whenever you think of a French bulldog, you better be thinking of a dog that makes a great companion dog. These breeds are not made for anything else except companionship and shows. However, they do both of these very well. One of the things that you will notice that is different about the French bulldogs and the English bulldogs is their size and their ears. The French bulldog is a much smaller bulldog (as far as body size goes). Not only that, but the French bulldogs have ears that stand straight up while the English bulldog has ears that hang. One cool thing about French bulldogs is that they are used in retirement homes a lot. These dogs love to go around and greet people, and they tend to bring a lot of joy to people who are older and lonely. These dogs are very gentle, and they are always happy.
