Great Pyreneess For Sale
The Great Pyrenees is a large breed of dog that was used a long time ago for guarding livestock. In most places, besides the United States, the dog is called the Pyrenean Mountain Dog. As you may have been able to guess, Great Purenesses have been around for a long time. In fact, people have noted that the dog has been used for millennia by Basque people. These are the people who inhabit parts of the Pyrenees Mountains. These are located in France and parts of northern Spain. Not only that, but the dog has been known to serve as the official dog for the royal French court. This is something that has been true since the Middle Ages. This dog has a great need to want to work. That is why during World War II, the dog was used to haul artillery over the Pyrenean Mountains, back and fourth to Spain and France. Now the dog has been known to make a great family dog as well.
