The Iceland Dog is a breed of dog that was brought to Iceland by the Vikings. The dogs are used for many things, but the main thing that the Iceland Dog is used for is, of course, herding sheep. The Iceland Dog is well known for being a team player and loves to work with humans. However, the Iceland Dogs normally do not get along with people they do not know. The breed does bark a lot, but that makes it a good herding dog. As you can guess, this dog has a big thick coat that makes it do good in cool weather. The dog can be made an inside dog, but the dog may prefer to sleep outside. It really depends on how you train your dog. If the Iceland Dog does sleep indoors, it is more than likely going to sleep on the cold bathroom floor. It does this to keep itself cool at night. Overall, this is a very sweet dog that many people do fall in love with.
