The Miki breed of dog is a very smart dog and very calm as well. A lot of people like to own Mikies because of how sweet natured they are and affectionate they can be. For being such a small dog, the Miki has a rather low level of energy. Of course, this does not keep them from being very alert to what is going on around them. These are dogs that do not usually bark, and that makes them great for house dogs. In fact, Mikies have to be house dogs, because they can not make it outdoors. These dogs are very sweet, but like most small dogs, they will stand their ground if they are threatened. These dogs love to be around people, and that is something that is easy to see. In fact, they love people so much that they an actually be kind of stress relieving for most people. The Miki is not a great guard dog just for the fact that they will except strangers very quickly.
