This dog first came about to catch little things like rats and mice. Thus, the dog is small so that it can fit in small areas where rats and mice might run to. The Norwich Terriers are dogs that can not be kept outside. They are toy dogs and have to be kept inside. Of course, some say that the dog can stand to be outside, but they love companionship so much that it kills them to be away from you. These dogs like to be lap dogs as well.
