The Pointer breed of dog is a dog that is used for hunting. However, few of them are still used today for hunting. They have seemed to work their way into the hearts of millions of people. The Pointers can still be used for hunting when trained the right way. This is a dog that will kind of run a little ways ahead of the hunter to keep track of the prey. Unlike other dogs, however, the Pointers usually do not leave sight of the hunter. This means that they do not have to let out a high bark when they find the animal. These are dogs that are more of tracking dogs. They track down the animals, and when they find it, they point it out to you by sticking out their noses. Overall, this is a pretty fun breed of dog to work with. Even if you are not a hunter anymore the Pointers are still good dogs to keep around. If you have not seen the Pointers in action, you do not know what you are missing.
