Some say that this is one of the nicest and sweets dogs, and they rank it up there with the Great Dane in terms of sweetness. They are a breed that is very eager to please you. This dog is a sight hound, but they are also very use to pursuing game as well. This is a big dog, and unlike the Great Hound, they like a lot of exercise. While they are young, they need almost double what they need when they grow up. The Scottish Deerhounds can live to be a very old age, but they have to have a lot of exercise to keep up their good health. If they do not get outside and move a lot, they do tend to get very stiff hips that hurt them when they do get up to walk around.
