The name Shih Tzu, actually means, Lion Dog. This is a very classic dog that actually got its start in China. This is a very pretty looking dog, and many fall in love with it. The biggest problem that you are going to have with the Shih Tzus is, of course, their weakness to warm weather. When temperatures get too hot, this dog has a hard time dealing with it. If fact, it is said that most airlines will not ship a Shih Tzu under a plane if the temperature is said to get above 75 degrees. Of course, the Shih Tzu is a dog that goes by many names. In fact, one of the names is Xi Shi. This is a name that is suppose to belong to the most beautiful women in China. Some even call it the Chrysanthemum dog, which is the name of a flower.
