Most of the time, the Maltese breed is known to get along will with other people, as well as children. Most of the time, Malteses also get along with other animals. So even if you have a cat, the Maltese breed could be the perfect dog for you. It does appear that the Maltese breed knows no fear, meaning that it's very easy to get them to socialize with animals that are bigger than them. In fact, Malteses will normally treat all animals, large or small, the same.
