Designer Breeds 10/10/2006 05:42 PM

I have recently seen and heard of a lot of different designer breeds, pugapoo, maltipoo, lhasapoo, morkie, yorkipin, yorkypoo and I am very confused as to what breed of dogs these are. And the list just gets bigger and bigger every day. Does anyone know if these designer breeds have any characteristic problems or do they have the tendencies of what breed they are being mixed with. I have seen a few of these cute little mixes and wow are they adorable, but how many different ones can there be without hurting the pure breed down the road. I am not a vet or a specialist in this catagory so I dont know but if anyone can tell me anything about all this mixing I would love to hear it.

First, you may want to consider your dog's nature. If your beloved pet is a bit of a bully and the new dog isn't submissive, there are going to be some major battles before they sort out which dog is in charge. Sometimes, two dogs are equally dominant and these battles flare up again and again. By the time you visit your veterinarian for the fourth or fifth time to have their battle scars treated, you may be regretting the purchase of a second dog.
