More About ...

Australian Shepherds

The Australian Shepherd will weigh between 40 to 65 pounds when full-grown. Highly energetic, this breed needs lots of room for running, herding and playing. They are not recommended for apartment life due to this. Their medium coat may be straight or wavy. They require occasional brushing but may need more when they shed seasonally. Australian Shepherd puppies are intelligent and easy to train. They have a strong herding instinct, so are not recommended for families with small children and other non-canine pets. The Australian Shepherd is sometimes crossed with the Poodle to create the Aussidoodle.
